The sunshine vitamin – get enough with every drop 

Why do we feel so good when the sun shines? One reason is because that’s when our body is able to manufacture enough vitamin D. Vitamin D, also known as cholecalciferol, can actually be produced by the human body itself, but this requires the skin to be exposed to enough UV light. For this reason, vitamin D is often simply referred to as the “sunshine vitamin”. So to get enough vitamin D, sufficient sunlight is necessary.
Vitamin D has so much to offer: in its active form, it’s required by the body for bone metabolism as well as for strengthening bones and developing muscles. In addition, healthy cells and organs and a well-functioning immune system are all dependent on a good supply of vitamin D.

Possible causes of vitamin D deficiency:

Extra dose for the bones

Vitamin K2 is one of the fat-soluble vitamins. The human body can produce it to some extent. It is built with the support of microorganisms in the intestines and then transported through the blood. However, this only occurs in a healthy intestine and only in small quantities.
Vitamin K2 favours, among other things, the ‘activation’ of the protein osteocalcin. Osteocalcin is formed in the bone and binds calcium. Thus, it is involved in bone mineralisation and calcium metabolism and ensures that calcium can be absorbed by the bones.
Also, vitamin K participates in the production of particular coagulation factors (factor II, VII, IX, and X) and proteins. They form an essential component of blood clotting and ensure that, in the event of an injury, the bleeding is stopped. In this context, the letter ‘K’ refers to coagulation, which relates to the German technical term for blood clotting.

Vitamin K2 and D3 – a perfect team

In addition to vitamin K2, vitamin D3 is also involved in the formation of the protein osteocalcin. To make optimum use of osteocalcin, care should be taken to ensure an adequate supply of both vitamins. Their action is closely linked, they ensure optimal utilisation of calcium and play a significant role in bone preservation.
 
The vitamin drops dissolved in vegetable oil can be quickly absorbed by the human body and as a mono-preparation are suitable for an individual combination. Easy to use, as required due to the handy dosing pipette.
